Microbes in Wastewater and Waste Treatment, Bioremediation and Energy Production - MWT - Jan 24-27 2011, BITS Pilani GOA. 1st announcement - call for proposals.
This conference is being organized within the framework of the IWA’s specialized groups Microbial Ecology and Water Engineering (MEWE) and Assessment and Control of Hazardous Substances in Water (ACHSW). It aims to bring together researchers, scientists and professionals working in the field of microbes and microbial ecology. The conference, to be held in Goa, will provide a platform for the participants to share new approaches, knowledge and findings on Earth’s tiniest creatures which are the major drivers of pollution removal.
Organised jointly by the LBE-INRA and BITS Pilani Goa, this is a specialised conference of the International Water Association. At present, the world is focused on renewable energy sources, environmental restoration, water treatment and reducing waste production. Microbes play a key role in these technologies. The new tools available to describe microbes, microbial activities and microbial ecology open exciting and promising perspectives for researchers and manufacturers seeking to improve such processes.
