Interested researchers are encouraged to directly contact faculty or scientists at NCBS they are interested in working with. The Young Investigator Program is for exceptionally talented, young scientists who wish to establish themselves rapidly as independent researchers. Positions are awarded for five years and recent PhD holders or post doctorants with some experience can apply. For more information, click here. Post doctoral fellowships are awarded to scientists wishing to work in an existing NCBS research group. Awards are made twice a year, in February and in August. For more information, click here. PhD studentships are offered to students with a Masters degree in any scientific discipline. Calls for PhD positions are made every year in August or September. PhD studentships are funded. Direct Fellowships are available for foreign students wishing to pursue Phds and MSc at the Indian Institute of Science.
